Switch or Swap Trading

This form of business is considered a form of counter trade. A Switch or Swap trade is a long-term bilateral agreement between two countries, involves the use of clearing accounts. When the goods are shipped from one country to the other, instead of being paid, a credit is given to the clearing account. Also known as Long-Term Bilateral Trade Agreement.
