Humor in Collections The proponents
of the use of humorous labels, stickers, and stamps for use with monthly
account statements and other notices to customers would suggest that a
statement or notice containing something humorous is more likely to be
noticed by the delinquent customer. Proponents suggest that for this reason
the notice is The use of humor is only effective in situations in which the customer is occasionally late in paying its debts -- such as when an invoice has been inadvertently overlooked. Chronic delinquent accounts will ignore statements, dunning notices and friendly reminders, with or without humorous stickers and labels.
