Defense Against Claim of Defamation

Repetition is not a defense against libel.  For example, it would not be a defense against libel to assert:  “I was told by the credit manager at ABC Plumbing that the owner of this company was convicted of fraud in Utah and cannot be trusted. The best defense against defamation is that the statements made were the truth.
